My husband and I are always looking for good books for children to read the (or listen to CD). Our latest technology includes the Newberry Awards Search and honorable mentions. Once such a book is Savvy, written by Ingrid Law, and a special mention in 2010. I knew that the whole family as soon as the book as I read the first few sentences on the back of the book.

The family lives on the borderKansas and Nebraska, the two names to be mixed together if they live where they speak. Grandpa tells how he created a state. The first chapters relieve the stress of what can be accomplished mibs'. Then the family learned of his father. It is a siteAccident and he is in the hospital in Salina, Kansas. mibs mother and his brother, Rocket, to watch his father go to Salina. Mibs birthday is coming "and she gets her good sense. She decides she needs to see his father, and left her and some other gay guys for an adventure.
Most of the book deals with the adventures and the kids want to learn the hard lessons and epiphanies they receive.
How is any good science fiction or fantasy novel, the common sense to replace mentally for everything that distinguishes a person from another, so that with a little imagination, any child (or adult) "identify" with the characters in this story.
If you and your family day have the slightest interest in fantasy and superhero comics, or stories in which reality is not one hundred percent, all you see, this book is very good. My family liked it, and I hope you will too.
